About ZACK
ZACK GmbH, a specialist manufacturer of stainless steel houseware, was founded in 1985 in Oststeinbek, Germany, by Bernd Mackarow, its current owner. While often pronounced "Zack" in English-speaking countries, it is pronounced "Tzack" in its home country of Germany. Its unique design philosophy quickly gained recognition, and today, some 20 years later, it is widely respected, primarily in Europe and North America, as one of the prominent brands in stainless steel design houseware.
The philosophy of ZACK is to realize simple "beauty" in everyday living spaces. It is not about advocating quirky designs, but about being easy to use. It's about lasting a long time. It's about being able to subtly assert individuality by pursuing high quality that meets these very ordinary needs. It's about a commitment to solid craftsmanship that is not found in the mass-produced products that flood the market. It's about German solidity and tradition. ZACK's designs are something you can truly feel when you first see them and when you pick them up.

Its originality and commitment to quality have earned it a solid position as a prestigious houseware brand in renowned interior design stores, department stores, hotel chains, and restaurants in Europe and North America.
ZACK's product line is broadly categorized into eight categories: bar items, cafe items, kitchenware, tableware, livingware, office stationery, bathroom/toilet ware, and fire tools. Under the slogan "Follow Your Style," ZACK offers a lineup that covers all aspects of lifestyle.
New products are primarily launched twice a year during the major seasons of spring and autumn, at events such as Ambiente in Frankfurt in February and Maison & Objet in Paris in September. Its original and sophisticated booth design has been highly praised since winning the ADAM AWARD in 2004, and it consistently attracts a large number of regular buyers from prominent department stores, as well as designers, architects, media, and other visitors.

There's a reason why, among the many interior product manufacturers in Europe, ZACK maintains and is praised for its unique designs, instantly recognizable as "ZACK-like." All ZACK items are designed by the in-house design team led by Heico Linke (to be discussed later), ensuring consistency in design, concept, and philosophy.
This is a very distinctive approach, especially compared to the recent trend among European manufacturers of hiring trendy designers or holding competitions to solicit new designs, and it can be said to be ZACK's most characteristic feature.
Using abundant thick stainless steel, the substantiality and weight of the products will make you realize, just by touching and holding them, that they are of an incredibly high quality, perhaps unlike anything you've encountered before. You will also notice that the beauty of their finish surpasses the level of everyday items, despite being everyday items.

"Bauhaus" comes to life in modern lifestyles.
Heico Linke
Heico Linke
Heico Linke retired from his long career in 2015, but as the designer who shaped ZACK's current design, he cannot be overlooked.
As a German, he is one of the product designers who grew up most strongly influenced by the Bauhaus. Like many Germans, as a boy, Linke grew up surrounded by Bauhaus products and a rational spirit in postwar Germany. As he grew older, he became increasingly immersed in industrial design, and after graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Hamburg in 1974, he established his own design firm, working on numerous architectural and product designs.
The thoroughly minimalist designs consistently seen in his work are the result of seeking a modern Bauhaus interpretation. "How to bring out the best in stainless steel." His designs always begin from this single point.
He also highly values the "playfulness" in product design, similar to Ettore Sottsass and his Memphis Group. These two major currents merge within him and his team, and live on in today's ZACK designs.

Authentic designs emerge.
Gesa Meeder
Gesa Meeder
Gesa Meeder is currently the chief designer leading ZACK's design team. After Heico's retirement, she, having been mentored by him for many years, took over the leadership of the design team.
Her designs are feminine, characterized by achieving harmony between formal and functional beauty within a minimal design. Her fundamental design philosophy at ZACK is to create simple, easy-to-use, approachable, and beautiful designs free of clutter.
After graduating from the Media Design department at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 1996, her graduation thesis was "Mobile Bathroom." With this, she joined the Adolf Babel design office, where her career as a professional in bathroom design began.
Among the projects she participated in, the "ZERO" bathtub, jointly developed with HOESCH, brought her brilliant results and experience, winning numerous international design awards worldwide. Since becoming a full-time designer at ZACK in 2000, she has primarily been responsible for designs in series such as CONTAS, CIVIO, and FOCCIO.
