Mr. Sato:

It's been a while. I apologize for contacting you so suddenly. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. How have you been?

Ms. Kasama (honorifics omitted hereinafter):
No, I was a little surprised to hear from you after so long, but thank you.

Mr. Sato:

Your clinic opened in the autumn of 2021, so it's been about three and a half years now, hasn't it? It seems to be going well. Today, I'd like to ask you about your experience using ZACK products since then.

Ms. Kasama: They're very good. First of all, they have presence. Just having them there makes you think, "Oh, something cool is here." I wonder why, even though the designs are so simple. Is it the metallic feel of the stainless steel? And the high quality is immediately apparent, so I think it really elevates the atmosphere of the clinic.
After all, furnishings are very important. Compared to the total construction cost, they are a small fraction, but if you try to save money here, the whole place suddenly feels cheap.

Mr. Sato:

That's a powerful statement, coming from someone who has actually gone through the experience of opening a business. In fact, I always tell my clients the same thing.
If you try to upgrade the entire space, the cost of flooring, walls, and large furniture will be exponentially higher. But if you invest in good quality key furnishings, they instantly brighten up the place and enhance the sense of luxury. So, spending money on furnishings is definitely more cost-effective.

Ms. Kasama:

In a dental clinic, in addition to expensive medical equipment, even if it's not a refurbished property, we have to raise the floor due to plumbing, and that's also expensive. Considering that, I don't really mind if an umbrella stand or coat rack is a little more expensive, or maybe I'm a bit desensitized to prices now. (laughs)

But seriously, I think it's very important for patients to think, "This is a lovely dental clinic," so I don't think that's an area to cut corners.

Mr. Sato:

Certainly, as an interior miscellaneous category, ZACK is by no means cheap, but when you consider units or even CT scans, those are enormous amounts of money.

Compared to tens of millions in startup capital, it's almost negligible, you could say... (laughs)

Ms. Kasama:

And it's not just about being expensive; I don't think that necessarily means it's good. With ZACK, it's clear why it's good and expensive: "It's stainless steel, so it won't rust easily," or "It's simple, so it won't break easily," or "It's heavy enough not to tip over." There's a clear reason for its functionality.

No matter how cool the design or appearance, if it breaks or you get tired of it and have to replace it in a few years, then that's a different story.

Mr. Sato:

Indeed, we often hear that ZACK's simplicity ensures it never goes out of style. And what you said about the weight is absolutely right; there's often a correlation between weight and a sense of luxury and high quality. If it's light, it feels cheap; if it's heavy, it feels solid.

ZACK is definitely heavy. (laughs)
The stainless steel is significantly thicker than Japanese products. You can tell by touch.

Ms. Kasama:

Yes! I was a little surprised when the ZACK products first arrived. They had a much more substantial weight than they appeared in the photos online. Like blocks of iron.

Mr. Sato:

Even the frames of the umbrella stand and magazine rack, which you might think are hollow pipes, are actually extremely thick wires, so they're quite hard and heavy when you pick them up.

That's the German spirit, I suppose. (laughs)

Ms. Kasama:

It seems like they wouldn't break even if you tried.

Mr. Sato:

"Good quality, for a long time" is ZACK's concept.
