■What is ZACK's Graphite Coating Finish?
ZACK's graphite coating finish uses a surface treatment technology called PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition). This technology, which forms a very thin film at the atomic and molecular level, vaporizes materials such as metals and ceramics in a vacuum and physically deposits them on the surface of the substrate (the object to be treated), creating a hard and highly durable film.
The graphite finish created by this PVD coating is characterized by a deep dark gray tone, combining the substantial feel of black stainless steel with a metallic texture.
Due to its color, it is sometimes called "gunmetal" in Japan.
