■ What is ZACK's graphite coating finish?
ZACK's graphite coating finish employs a surface treatment technology called PVD coating (Physical Vapor Deposition). This technology forms an extremely thin film at an atomic and molecular level, allowing materials such as metals and ceramics to be vaporized in a vacuum and physically deposited onto the surface of a substrate (the object being treated), thereby creating a hard and highly durable film.
The graphite finish created by this PVD coating is characterized by its deep dark gray hue, possessing both the substantial feel of black stainless steel and a metallic texture.
Due to its color, it is sometimes referred to as "gunmetal" in Japan.
